Hockey Edmonton Development Award
Dylan's unwavering commitment and contributions to NEZ Hockey and Hockey Edmonton were unparalleled. He was the backbone of our Learn to Play Hockey and The First Shift programs, always inspiring young athletes with his passion and dedication. Dylan's presence was a constant source of support and encouragement, and his absence is deeply felt by our hockey families and community.

Dylan's legacy goes beyond his exceptional coaching and mentorship. He embodied the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and the love of the game. His tireless efforts ensured that every player experienced the joy of hockey and developed to the best of their abilities. His influence has left an indelible mark on countless young athletes and their families.

In honor of Dylan, we have decided not to present the Development Award this year. Instead, we want to take this moment to reflect on the immense impact he had on our community. To recognize and thank Dylan for his dedication to making hockey fun and exciting, and for his immense developmental efforts, we are proud to announce that starting in 2025, the Development Award will be renamed the Dylan Thomas Development Award. This will serve as a lasting tribute to his memory, a reminder of the high standards he set for all of us, and the legacy he left on the game in our city.
