Welcome to Hockey Edmonton

Hockey Edmonton, a not-for-profit organization once known as Edmonton Minor Hockey Association (EMHA), is the governing body for minor ice hockey in Edmonton, Alberta. We are proud to represent nearly 10,000 children in our city, providing multiple streams of play for beginner to elite players, from the first time they lace up their skates as a U7 Timbit, to the day they graduate from minor hockey.

Founded in 1963 as the Edmonton Metropolitan Hockey Association, the organization currently assists Clubs, Districts, Associations and teams in the administration of ice hockey through various operating directives, standardized rules, development resources, and program support. Our proud history of excellence includes many notable alumni who graduated from our minor hockey programs to play pro, junior, and post-secondary hockey, including Mark Messier, Grant Fuhr, Shannon Szabados, and the current Captain of the Minnesota Wild, Jared Spurgeon, to name a few.

Hockey Edmonton has multiple streams of play that are inclusive of beginner to elite players. We truly believe that #WeAllPlayHere, and we welcome all athletes from the City of Champs to be a part of our special Hockey Edmonton community.
